About a kameez made with draping technique, also about its colourscheme, pairing with a salwar and dupatta along with styling tips for different body types.
Today, I have come with this graceful A-line kameez paired with a chudidar in crimson chiffon, which I designed for my sister.
About the kameez
This kameez is beautified by an interlocking drape in two shades of chiffon – honeydew green and lemon yellow. This drape creates an emphasis on crimson chiffon shell. Plain sleeves are made of lemon yellow chiffon over crimson chiffon. The sleeves are given a shirred effect at the centre. Cotton lining makes it comfortable. Honeydew green chiffon dupatta enhances the design. Below is a close-up view of kameez.
About draping technique
Draping or fabric draping is a design creation method. The designs are made by draping a fabric following it’s fall, pleat formation et cetera. Professionally designs are created on a dress form unlike usual pattern making technique. Beautiful dresses and gowns of the European women were made with draping technique.

Some styling tips
This is a multi-purpose outfit. It is suitable for office, casual functions and small get-togethers. It is apt for almost all mild weather conditions. This stylish Indian outfit would complement extreme weather conditions like tropical summer too. But, how? It is just by changing the fabric and colour. For example, icy coloured cotton or linen with a contrast drape.
